It's funny how the universe delivers the messages that you need to hear without you asking. Entrepreneurship is wildly hard, and its difficult on a daily basis to keep the "why are we even doing this" top of mind. Wading through mires of issues, the days are long, and every-single-thing is your problem.
So this week, the universe saw fit to put me on a collision course with some bright young students. First, a rising HS Senior who is contemplating her own entrepreneurship journey, and then a gaggle of eager First Tee students in the Bronx. Each are teeming with questions ranging from practical (how do I raise money?) to spiritual (how do you find what you really love?)
Then, suddenly, you remember why you're here.
Most of the advice I gave was about how learning is failing often and failing small. The trick is figuring out how to be ok with all that. Life is (ultimately) an experiment.
So this week, I am reminded to take my own advice. Nothings perfect. We hit it left, we hit it right, and eventually - hopefully - we hit it down the middle.
