So, on Tuesday, the building next door burned down in a 3-alarm fire (pictured). No one was hurt (thankfully), but the smell left in our building is somewhere between campfire, BBQ Pork, and fresh dry cleaning. It's really hard to know how to feel when all those things hit you simultaneously.

And now today, our neighborhood is locked down for the most anticipated wedding of our time, Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce, taking place at Madison Square Garden, just one block away. The hype, and security, is like the Knicks all over again.

Sadly the happy couple have not stopped by our office, but maybe the lingering burning smell is putting them off... and I thought she would be into Kansas City barbecue? Those are the breaks.

Otherwise, this was a long-short week, which is probably true for anyone stuck in the office leading into a holiday weekend. We started receiving in samples for our SS2027 Collection, since that has to go to market soon (yikes). It's always a little bit like showing off your new baby and hoping everyone thinks they're cute. Except in this situation, its totally appropriate for them to tell you the truth.

We also had a bunch of Foray kids with us this week. Rather than do too much heavy lifting in production or design, the future-leaders-of-our-nation decided to draw the most terrifying portraits -- like straight out of The Ring horror movie scary -- that they could conceive. The one I was "gifted" freaked me out so majorly that I made the kids shred it so it wouldn't come to life and walk through my computer monitor.

Which brings up my last point: kids make great shredders.
